Radialsystem V/ Berlin 2007, kuratiert von Sasha Waltz & Jochen Sandig
living moving is a private space installation by Meggie Schneider at the Saal of RADIALYSTEM V. The installation shows the transference of furnishings from home to public location, which transforms banal living to an institutional, fictive and symbolic space. The visitors are engaged by the display to meet and perform the quotidian and the common. The moving image archive of the artist runs through a wall unit / Schrankwand of silent televisions with head phones, while the tone of the projection of SALA DE LA TELE expands in the space dimension. This surrounding morphs from a familiar into a film environment, and the viewer is expected to enter a place for the storage and circulation of symbols. In dialog with Sasha Waltz’s insideout choreography at the Halle, where the dancers narrate a personal story, Meggie Schneider installs episodes of her media memory.
